Now we’re four weeks out on this huge sign project that we’re working on because, you know, we had to wait the extra four weeks to get the process back. Um, and so what he did instead was we, he went another route and got the sign, uh, decided to go with a different sign, a sign that’s actually on the building, not out front with the, uh, right of way, things like that. Um, so that smoothed that situation out. Um, I’m sure that one will get approved. Um, but those are things that we have to work around. Those are things that you need to allow the time for the process. Um, you know, if you’re gonna open a business on November 1st, definitely would’ve called before October 1st. Um, depending, you know, even on the sign, even if you were to go with something that’s simple as an hour panel sign on top of your, you know, along and awning for your building or whatnot, um, we still have to have that process.

We still have to do that and we’ll take care of the sign permitting. We just, uh, basically we don’t, we charge you what the cost of the sign permitting is. Most places it’s, um, anywhere from 50 to $150. That’s typically the going rate that we see in our, um, offices for signed permitting. And we’ll take care of all that process for you. We’ll go in, we’ll file for the permit. All the cities in the area, they know us. We pretty much know what they need, what, what we need to work with, what we know, what will and won’t get approved. Um, what’s the easiest way to get all of that process going for you? We take care of it on our end, gives you one less thing to stress about, but that is something that you need to consider when ordering a sign is what type of sign are you using?

What type of turnaround time? What’s the process? Also, is this sign going to need a permit? Are you going to need permits for, for this? There are some places even here in Bartlesville that for banners you have to have a temporary, uh, a, a permit for a temporary banner for some places. Uh, it’s temporary signage and things like that that you’re supposed to fill out for. Uh, that one I’m not quite versed in as far as knowing what can and can’t, uh, be put out. But for most cities, most things like that, you’re gonna have to have a city, Uh, you’re gonna have to have a permit. Just when you give us a call, let us know, Hey, you know, I’m in, so I’m here, which we’re gonna have to know that type of thing Anyways, for the install. So one of the things that we do, and we offer it is when you give us a call, we send over a what’s called a site survey, an estimate form, and we ask you some questions, you know, send us some pictures of if you have an existing sign, if you have measurements, get us all of that information for us, that a way we can get the most accurate estimate for you.

What will happen after that is we’ll go out, once we get things rolling, we get an approval process for you, um, where you approve the sign you want to do the half down, we’ll send out some of our technicians to measure the sign, uh, or the space that you’re wanting. Make sure that we got all of the accurate measurements before we start. We take pictures, we send it all in, and we get the process going. That’s one of the steps that we have as far as the process of getting your sign from concept to product to installation and, and all of that. There’s a lot of steps that a lot of people don’t think. A lot of people think, okay, they just print a sign or they put together a sign and they go out and they put sign up. Um, and that’s not always the case.

There can be things that are hiccups there. There can be things, um, that we have to work through to make sure that this sign gets put up for you and is something that, you know, is doable within where we’re at. Certain spots, especially in like downtown Bartlesville, there’s a certain aesthetic that you have to have. There’s certain requirements, measurements, things can’t be bigger, smaller things like that. Um, and there’s a, a little bit more of, um, some involved work there, but nothing that we don’t see day to day. There, there are those occasional, as I was saying, you know, instances where we look at things and realize, Oh no, we can’t do that. There’s not enough room. We try to make sure that that works. We do everything we can to make sure that what you want in a sign is a possibility. One thing I can also tell you if you are ordering a sign is be open and transparent.
