Here at Highway Man Signs we are constantly looking for new members to add to our ever expanding team. Whether that be a new sign for their office or a total revamp of their small business branding and signage, our job is to take our customer’s vision and literally, make it a reality.

Communication is key to everything we do here at Highway Man Signs. Without communication, everything can fall apart. Just like the telephone game when we were kids, if we get details wrong or assume that someone knows what to do on a project, we could end up with a completely different project on the other end of production that the customer isn’t satisfied with. Every person on the team has to be detailed with their notes and never assume the rest of the team knows where we are going.

Initiative is the driving force behind any successful team member at Highway Man Signs. We have a fast paced environment, and at any point could have up to 100 different projects in various stages of development. We need team mates who don’t need constant oversight or continually need to be pulled forward by the rest of the team. Everyone at Highway Man Signs has a specific job to do in the chain, don’t be a weak link, if you don’t know the next step, ask. Personal Growth may seem like an odd core value for a business like Highway Man Signs, but we want to see our team grow not just professionally but personally as well. We have a saying around the shop, “If you’re not growing, we’re not growing.” Everyone is at different stages of life but growth should never stop. Here are just a few of the positions available at Highway Man Signs.

Front Desk

Our front desk is one of the most important positions at Highway Man Signs. The front desk is where the customer places their order, either in person, by phone, email, facebook, or our website. This is where we make our first impression. We need competent, friendly, detailed people ready to help our customers with their project. This is where the order gets entered into our online system and moved to the next stage of production. Duties also include using quickbooks to create estimates and invoices, answering phones and emails, and of course being a friendly face to our customer base.

Graphic Design

Graphic Design is where we take what the customer has given us, be it already made graphics or just a doodle on a napkin (or sometimes even less), and start making the dream a reality. At Highway Man Signs we include free design with every order, and we use that as an opportunity to really wow our customers with a professionally designed graphic for their business, school, church, organization, or personal use. We want our name synonymous with going above and beyond expectations graphic design is a major part of that. Programs that we use include Photoshop and CorelDRAW, some experience is required.

Production

Production is where the magic happens! After a design has been approved and is ready to move forward, it’s time to start actually making the project. We have various roll to roll printers, flatbed printers, vinyl cutters, and cnc machines that are used in the creation of our products at Highway Man Signs. Here you will learn about all the different materials that go into each project, whether that be adhesive backed vinyls, banner materials, wrap materials, pvc or aluminum substrates, the items are too numerous to list. You will learn how to run each machine, and the software it takes to use them.

Installation

Our installation techs are the cherry on top or the nail in the coffin for each project here at Highway Man Signs. Good installation can be the make or break on a job. We need competent men and women who like to work with their hands, know how to use and read a tape measure, and various power tools such as, drills and impacts, skil saws, table saws, miter saws, grinders and more. If you like to work outside, this is the position you’re looking for. Bucket trucks and cranes are also a huge part. If you like to build with your hands and admire the work you do when you’re done, this is the place for you.

Admin

Is organization your “thing”? Do you love numbers and getting everything to add up nice and neatly? Then maybe you can join our administrative team! Every business has bookkeeping and tax needs, and we’re no exception. Highway Man Signs does thousands of projects every year and we need detailed, competent people to help keep every job straight, and every number correct. If you have experience using quickbooks and the thought of organizing spreadsheets gets your motor running, apply today!
