Speaker 1 (06:05): Thanks For Joining the highway man signs podcast, your top Tulsa sign company in the Tulsa, Bartlesville, Skiatook, and surrounding areas. Uh, you wouldn’t want to do that on a, uh, on a brick or something like that because you have to drill you can’t, you have to do it, what to call it remote Mount, which doesn’t have a Raceway. So you can’t really put it like through brig had to drill a hole through every brick that you install these on, um, which can be done. I just have a little bit, it lose a lot in, in, in installation time. Um, but can, can really, really classy and upscale, uh, your business if you want to do that. Um, yeah, so that’s kind of some of the non lighted options. Um, let me check my notes here.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
We can also, like, if you’re wanting to do, um, like a billboard style on your building group, if you’ve got a really big blank canvas on the side of your property, um, with the ACM sheets, what’s really cool about this, and we’ve done this for several, um, for several of our customers, um, we can actually stack the sheets, um, and do a very large mural or billboard style sign, right on the side of your building. Um, we’ve even built, uh, billboard frames. Um, we have one it’s just two, two doors down from, um, from our business in Dewey, um, from our location and Dewey that has, uh, it’s a, it’s an eight foot tall, a 24 foot wide. So it’s six sheets, six, four by eight sheets on either side, uh, of this billboard turned out great. Looks fantastic. You can’t see the scene from the road because I think that’s what most people are concerned about.

They don’t want seams, things like that. And, um, it’s one of those things you got to think about the scale of the signage and how far away people are going to see it. Um, we line them up, make sure it looks very, very good. Um, we do a lot of, we do a lot of seen jobs like that and they really don’t. They really don’t look bad. They look great, especially from a distance, uh, even up close cause everything’s lined up fine. Um, you just got to realize, but, but for the, for the price, for the cost, um, and the longevity of it, you’re going to get five or six years, um, just out of the vinyl alone. And the metal is, you know, it’s, it’s going to be good for a long time, as long as, you know, if a storm didn’t come in to rip it off, you know, um, it’s going to last a very, very long time.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
You can reuse it if you need to. Um, if that’s something that you’re concerned about as far as budgetary concerns, um, you definitely can reuse it, but, um, that gets kind of hard because stripping the vinyl off can be, can be a big pain, be a huge project just in and of itself. Um, if you, if you get several people sitting around not doing anything and you want them to rip all that vinyl off, absolutely you can totally reuse it. You can get everything pulled off, cleaned off, um, uh, and stripped and clean again. And that’s something that, you know, really we can think about. Um, I probably need to do a podcast just for where we talk about, uh, how to remove vinyl safely. Uh, I could do kind of a quick segue here, if that’s something that, um, you guys are interested in, uh, please feel free to let us know, but yeah, so stripping vinyl there’s, there are different kinds of vinyl.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Um, and vinyls is a general term for, um, for basically adhesive backed material that we stick on to, um, our signage, there’s several different kinds. Um, and we basically use this in it interchangeably almost on every project that we do, almost every project that we do involve some type of vinyl. Um, there are vinyls that permanent adhesives, um, that are made to be, uh, that aren’t really necessarily made to come off easily. Uh, this is your standard, um, intermediate and, and, um, um, calendared vinyls, and basically, uh, what these are, um, because they just have a permanent he’s, if that you did, you cut out, you stick them on, and if you want to peel them off, they peel off, they leave glue, they’re hard to get off. They do not stay as materials, do not stretch.

Speaker 2 (10:16): And, um,Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, they, they stick very well. Now there’s are what they call removable vials. And, um, these are what we use for like our wraps, things like that. And these don’t feel as sticky as the calendared permanent that he uses that are on the calendar vinyls, but, um, they definitely, um, they didn’t really stick just fine. The difference is, is in the composition of the adhesive, um, and what removable vinyls are made to come off clean they’re made to come off easier. Um, so like when you’re wrapping a vehicle, you want to make sure that you can take that off later. So it doesn’t damage the paint. Um, you can’t do that with calendared or permanent adhesive vinyls, and you have to use a cast, a removable vinyl to do a vehicle, do a vehicle wrap, but basically when you start to remove any type of vinyl, you definitely want to use heat.
