Speaker 1 (00:03):
All right. Thanks for joining us again. This is the highway man signs podcast. You’re top Tulsa sign company and the Tulsa Bartlesville sky took and surrounding areas here in Oklahoma. Uh, I am Kenny, your host and, uh, yeah, thanks for joining us. Uh, last time we talked about, um, kind of some of the different non-line signages and, uh, just with plastic letters, uh, metal letters, acrylic letters, um, ACM, which is a, uh, aluminum composite material that has a aluminum on either side of a plastic core PVC cor. Um, and again, we’re just kind of talking about different signage, different services that we offer. Um, but also I just want to make sure we educate everyone. So they have a good understanding of what it is that we do, what it is that’s available to you. Um, you know, if you have a budget in mind, what’s your, you know what, what’s going to be more budget friendly. Speaker 1 (01:02): Uh, what’s going to look, um, the most professional what’s going to look, what’s going to really catch your customer’s eye or, um, you know, kind of convey the message that you’re looking for. And one of the things we’re going to talk about today is metal signage. Um, we briefly kind of went over the last week, of course, with ACM that kind of falls under that as well. Um, basically metal signs, of course, you know, Mel signs has been made for years and years and years and years. Um, this is the kind of stuff that you see on street signs. You see this on, uh, parking garages, you see this on, um, uh, oil field signage, you know, we can, we can make a, a lot of different types of metal signs. And, uh, obviously they’re great because they’re durable. Um, they take a hit and, um, they last a really long time. So, um, kind of the D the two kind of main, um, materials that we use for this type of signage is, uh, they’re, they’re going to be aluminum. Um, there’s two different weights. Uh, what we use is, uh, Oh, four Oh eight or Oh eight. Oh, and this, this actually is the thickness of the metal Oh four Oh eight. Oh. Being, you know, four, 407 and your 800 dimensions. Thanks For Joining the highway man signs podcast, your top Tulsa sign company in the Tulsa, Bartlesville, Skiatook, and surrounding areas.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Um, Oh four or, Oh, sorry. Oh, four. Oh is a lighter weight material. Um, this is great if you’re wanting just a cheap sign that go, that goes on a building goes on a flat surface. Um, this is what most people kind of refer to as sheet metal or 10. Um, it’s not 10, but a lot of people call it that, um, these are, these are very lightweight, flexible, just a very thin metal. Um, I would never put something, Oh, four O on a pole. Like if you were trying to put a parking sign, like a, a, say a handicap sign, uh, on a pole I’ve never used Oh four. Oh, because it is so, um, lightweight, if it was on a pole or something like that, you could bend that you could easily come up and grab both sides and bend it around the pole.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Um, this is really great for going on a building. You just want a cheap, lightweight sign. That’s going to go on a building and be a wayfinding sign, or be a no trespassing sign or no loitering sign or, or something of that nature. Um, just a, a good informational signage. It’s going to go on a building. You could use it for over that. Um, I wouldn’t put it on a brick building. I wouldn’t put it on a, um, a textured type building because, uh, over time it will start to, um, kind of form to that, that building, uh, shape. If it’s not very, even you can use a brick buildings as long as it was, as long as it was, um, a good even surface, if it was kind of a Rocky surface or rock building, or kind of a decorative brick, I probably wouldn’t use this on every one of you, something a little thicker, which again, that’s why we have, uh, [inaudible] as an option.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Uh, Oh, wait. It was really, really good for parking signs, parking lot signage, handicap, signage, no trespassing, things like that. That’s going to be on a pole or possibly hanging on a fence or something like that. Um, because it’s heavy duty, it’s thick. It cannot be bent. You can’t just go up and bend it. I mean, without actually trying to damage the sign, um, that is heavier. It’s quite a bit heavier. We can still get both of these sizes and sheets and four Bay five by eight, I’m sorry, four by eight, four by 10 sheets. Um,

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah. Oh, wait. It was a much heavier duty material on, this is something that like, if you just want, Hey, you want this thing to feel sturdy and you just want it to kind of be able to be standalone. Um, Oh, wait. Oh, is what you wanna use? Um, yeah, these are kind of different kind of the different signs. I mean, just kind of, you can picture in your mind, um, obviously street signs, um, parking lot signs, um, plant safety, signage, if you are, um, someone who works at a plant or is in charge of, um, the safety department, uh, at a plant or refinery or, um, something of that nature, you, you’re probably very familiar with these types of signs, um, that we can do. Um, warning, signage, of course, um, safety, signage, oil, field signage. Um, we use [inaudible], which you’re on all of our well field signage, because they have to be marked for the government and the EPA. Um, and, and the Oh four, Oh is, will not stand up. And, uh, Speaker 2 (05:51): In that kind of environment. Thanks For Joining the highway man signs podcast, your top Tulsa sign company in the Tulsa, Bartlesville, Skiatook, and surrounding areas.
