Speaker 1 (00:58): Thanks For Joining the highway man signs podcast, your top Tulsa sign company in the Tulsa, Bartlesville, Skiatook, and surrounding areas. Like we talked, we, uh, initially talked about, uh, lighted signs last week. And basically, um, you know, we talked about kind of the initial form signage, like building signage. I think we talked about some metal signs, uh, lighted signs for your building can signs, uh, which are alighted, uh, aluminum boxes. We talked about several different types of faces for those. Uh, they start out with like acrylic or Lexus, an slash polycarbonate or a flex face, which is like a large like canvas or banner that basically stretches across the framework of the sign. Kind of like a drum head would be stretched across the drum. And those are kind of the different types of like lighted signs now kind of continue in that vein. What we’re going to talk about today, um, is one of my favorite, uh, types or styles of signage. Again, this is, this would be for a bid for a building, or you could put these on poles, I imagine.

Um, but or what they call channel letter signs and channel letters are, um, these are the types of signs that have like individual letters that are lit, that are back lit. And basically how these, how these are designed is, and how they’re built is a real similar to, uh, like the can box signs or the lighted canned signs. Um, but these have actual individual letters that are in logos that are lit individually. And most of the time they’re mounted to what they call a Raceway, which is a long, um, aluminum box that that’s where all the wiring and the, uh, the electrical components go into. And essentially, um, these, these look the best. I mean, they look the most professional, um, you know, most, uh, I say most, pretty much all, uh, big chain companies use channel letters in their, in their signage. Um, and essentially what it’s made of is there are, um, most, most channelers are made of aluminum can, but basically what they do is they put the aluminum into a bender and that bender will actually bend it into any shape and basically make a box of any custom shape. Thanks For Joining the highway man signs podcast, your top Tulsa sign company in the Tulsa, Bartlesville, Skiatook, and surrounding areas.

So say letters like our company is highway man signs, your top Tulsa sign company. And so spelling out highway man signs, you would have H I G H w a Y, and then we have our logo and then we have M a N and then S I G N S. And so each one of those things that I just listed are actually made out of aluminum, uh, just a lightweight [inaudible] aluminum that is put into a bender it’s bent into the shape of the letter, into the letter of the shape of the age and the shape of the eye, the shape of the G and so forth and so on. And, um, they come out just looking great. Um, what’s cool is they’re also very versatile as well. Um, so you can do different colors. Our colors are orange and blue and, um, and white. And so basically highway man is in orange and we have our logo always sits in between highway and man, and we have orange letters for that. And then there’s a plastic trim that goes around each letter that you can choose also for different color. Uh, we just go with black, um, and then there is a black, or I’m sorry, then there’s the can itself that the actual aluminum shape is, and you can choose the color of that. Um, we, again, go with black on that, just make it simple. And then the Raceway that those are mounted to that all the electrical components go into, you can also pick the X, excuse me.

So they’re really versatile as far as like getting colors and making them look really good. It’s also as they stand off the building, so they give a really good, three-dimensional look on your building. They’re very professional. They look great. They last for years and years. And, uh, I mean, it’s essentially the best looking signage that you can get. Um, now they are pricey, um, but they’re, they are worth it in the end. Um, like I said, they’re, they’re my absolute favorite. Now they also have different, um, you can do any, any type of logo ours. We have our highway man, bandit and, um, digitally printed onto a polycarbonate or Alexian. And that is, uh, also has a can built for that. Think it’s mounted to the Raceway. Now they also have, uh, we can also do, um, instead of a Raceway man, and say, you want a cleaner look, you don’t want that metal box behind there.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
That’s fine. You can do what they call a remote Mount. And basically what this happens is you actually just Mount the letters directly to the building or directly to the signage or the substrate or whatever you’re wanting to Mount it to. And, um, you put all the electrical components behind, you know, if you’re doing it on a building, you do all the electrical opponents behind the building behind the building wall. I’m sorry. On the inside of the building, it would be up in the crawl space or up in the ceiling. Um, now this is a harder and more labor intensive, uh, type of install, but it does look really clean on the outside of the building. Um, the only problem is, is, uh, you have to drill, um, a lot more holes into the building. So for every letter, you’re going to have a wire coming through from the lights inside the letters, um, coming into the building. And then, you know, ma didn’t, didn’t wiring that into the, uh, electrical boxes that have the transformers. Thanks For Joining the highway man signs podcast, your top Tulsa sign company in the Tulsa, Bartlesville, Skiatook, and surrounding areas.
